Description

Cudlamudla is a small section of the Flinders Ranges which in a turn is a minute part of planet Earth.  As such it has its own place in four millennia of geologic history.  Every rock and landform is evidence of that history and the processes which continue to shape the surface of the earth.

Visitors to the Flinders Ranges in northern South Australia, one hundred years ago, would have passed by hundreds of small farms with their crops of wheat, horses, an assortment of other animals, homes, shed and machinery and families striving to make a living in an environment which in one year gave bountiful crops and in the next, blistering heat, locusts and drought.  They would have visited dozens of small towns situated along the railway lines or the main roads, generally one or more to each of the Hundreds across the North.
