We have GOOD WATER, Hawker has desalinated water, which is much better than the water that was supplied up until 2014.

Hawker gives you options to eat out, buy fuel, have your vehicle or tyres repaired and offers an excellent health service with a doctor, hospital and volunteer ambulance service.

Call into the Hawker Visitor Centre we have a good range of food items, including frozen meat, camping equipment, books and souvenirs.

Recreational activities in Hawker are bowls, golf course, tennis courts, swimming pool and the annual Hawker Races, and Craft Mart.

There are many caravanning and camping options available in the area which including Caravan Parks, National Parks and  designated bush camping sites on private properties.

In Hawker there is one caravan park, with shady powered and unpowered sites, ensuites are also available for those seeking some ‘luxury.’

A dump point for the caravanner or motor home traveler is now available, near Blue Burt Park on Elder Terrace ask at the information Centre .

Entry Permits or Camping  fees can be purchased from Hawker Visitor Information Centre, Wilpena Pound Visitor Information Centre or online.

A number of station properties  provide powered sites and have bush camping.
